Your extended definition essay must be no fewer than two full pages, but no more than three. This is the outline:Monstrosity is a thing which is outrageously evil. For example, they were the most dangerous and most feared monstrosities in existence. There are three categories. First, serial killers are one category that I choose. For example, Henry Lee Lucas who was a self-confessed America serial killer. Secondly, events are the second category. For example, Adolf Hitler who started the world war II. The last category is Hollywood as example is horror movies. For example,Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman is an example of horror movies. I believe monstrosity is evil to the universe for several reasons horror movies, serial killers, and events.   II.      Serial killers is the first category. I pick the serial killers because they kill a lot of people. Who is Henry Lee Lucas? How many people did he kill?  III.     Events are the second category.                        A. Adolf Hitler the guy who destroy the world.                        B.  How did he destroy the world?   IV.      The last category is Hollywood as example is horror movies. It is affect the young people to do crimes.Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman is a horror movie, and it was a dangerous to watch for young people.   IIV.     In conclusion, monstrosity is something horribly wrong. The people should fight to stop the monstrosity from the world. The monstrosity killed a lot of people and most of them without any reasons. This is the direction : Extended Definition of Monstrosity An extended definition is a common type of academic argument that is written after reading about and discussing a particular issue in which you should state and defend your position on the issue as well as to illustrate how your opinion relates to similar or opposing opinions about the same issue. For this assignment, you will be composing your own definition of the word “monstrosity” and supporting that definition with real world and examples. When writing your essay, remember that your definition still needs to be both arguable and supported with details and evidence. Also continue to use transitions, which provide cues for the reader and improve coherence. We will also introduce the following skills: collecting information from readings on a particular issue positioning one’s claim in relation to other positions on the issue documenting sources using MLA in-text citations and works cited choosing an effective organizational strategy researching the library and Internet for sources Purpose of the project: To argue demonstrate understanding of tone and the ability to select the appropriate tone for the message you want to send. Audience: An academic audience that includes fellow students and instructors at ASU.Strategies:Focus on what you believe the concept to mean and encompass.Develop your essay by composing an argument in which you explain and support your own definition of the concept. Organize your essay in a way that effectively conveys information to your listeners, is easy to follow, and clearly exhibits the appropriate tone. Content and Audience:To focus your extended definition essay, you should consider how your own insights add something new to the cultural conversation others have already been having about the concept of monstrosity. Then, reflect, taking notes on perspectives that you feel are missing or on viewpoints that you feel are incompletely or inaccurately expressed. Even though you are writing about an issue with which you are probably already familiar, you will want to read several sources pertaining to the concept before you begin writing. Some questions for you to consider as you read your sources are as follows: ·  What voices are missing from the conversation? ·  How do your own experiences influence an alternative perspective on the issue?  ·  Do the writers currently covering this issue or the public, in general, seem to be misinterpreting or unfairly representing certain points of view?·  Do the writers currently covering this issue or the public seem to be “getting it right,” but still leaving important perspectives out of the conversation? As you write and revise your essay, you will integrate relevant research that will allow you to both support your views and distinguish them from the views of others who have written on the issue. Remember that you should develop a strong, well-supported argument, and that it should address the Arkansas State University first-year community—that is, fellow students and faculty, who are bright, but may have little knowledge of the particular conversation you are entering.   Organization and FormatThere are many ways to organize your essay and, as a class, we will analyze sample argument essays in order to articulate a general understanding of the conventions of the genre. Considering these conventions, you will have to decide the best way to arrange your essay to make your argument clear and persuasive.  Further, to practice the skills necessary for success in Composition II and beyond, you are expected to engage with outside sources in your piece, using summary, paraphrase, and direct quotation as effective and appropriate. You are also required to incorporate in-text parenthetical citations and develop an end-of-text Works Cited and/or, if applicable, a Works Referenced page for all sources cited within your paper or consulted in developing your position. You should read and cite (Works Cited or Works Referenced) no fewer than three recent sources. As with other essays written in this class, please follow MLA guidelines for citation and format. Your extended definition essay must be no fewer than two full pages, but no more than three.

I want someone to help me with my online Homework.. Answers 1Bids 1Other questions 10

I have 3 questions . I want you to follow the instructions exactly what I will post in the questions and follow the example if I apply.  1-   After you read the paragraph please answer the 6 questions : Postcolonialism refers to the time after the colonization (military occupation) of a territory is over hence the expression post (after).   Postcolonial literature refers to literature produced by the colonized people (people whose land was conquered) after or even during colonization of their lands. Postcolonialism is based on the premise that the colonizer does not only exert control over the land but also over ideas, cultural values, and minds of the colonized people. This control over values of the colonized people extends beyond the time of colonization. These values include ones that put utmost value on the culture of the colonizer and dehumanize the colonized people and their cultures casting these values and ways of thinking as inferior.  The colonizer is the one who writes history. In other words, the conqueror of the land imposes new values that are held in the highest esteem while the values of the conquered people are looked upon as inferior to those of the colonizer. This can happen in an overt way or in a covert, implied way. This point of view can be internalized by the conquered people where they start to look down upon their own values and start to glorify the values of the colonizer even after colonization is over. In other words, when the land occupation ends, the colonization does not end. Postcolonial scholars study issues related to racism and exploitation. They offer a narrative that counters the narrative of the powerful colonizer. Postcolonialists study the political, social, economic and cultural oppression of the colonized or previously colonized people. They study the results of colonization which have direct effects on identities of the colonized as they feel in-between cultures, or have a sense of exile or feel that they are unvalued, left in the margins, lost or removed from culture. Famous postcolonial theorists include Edward Said (an Arab American scholar who coined the term “orientalism” to refer to the way that the West viewed and constructed an imaginative image of the Arab World), Homi K  Bahbha, Gayatri Spivak, Frantz Fanon. The Arab World was under European rule from the period after WWI when European powers drew the borders between Arab countries. This European rule continued from 1918 until the 1940s. In some instances, the occupation of the lands extended for longer periods of time. The French occupation of Algeria, for example, lasted more than 100 years (1830 and 1960).  Analyze Burns’ poem from a postcolonial perspective? (read about the postcolonial perspective in lesson 3  and review questions in blue below) 1.    Are there colonizers and colonized people in this text (explicitly or implicitly?2.    Is this work pro/anti colonialism?3.    Does the text resist or reinforce colonial ideas and values?4.    What does the text tell us about post-colonial identities? Anything about the struggle to situate oneself within cultures?  Any issues regarding hybrid identities? How are these identities like and and how are they treated?5.    Who, in the text, is described as “the other”/ “diiferent”/ “stranger”? How is the “other” represented?6.    What does the text tell us about the resistance to colonialism?    2 -Read June Jordan’s ‘Report from the Bahamas’ course link provided belowPat Mora’s poem ‘Fences’   http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/182465 Read  June Jordan’s ‘Report from the Bahamas’ as well as the short poem by Pat Mora ‘Fences’ and analyze both from a post-colonial perspective (links are provided below). Before responding to the question, find some information about both authors on the internet to get some context then analyze both texts: ·      Are there colonizers and colonized people in this text (explicitly or implicitly?·      Is this work pro/anti colonialism?·      Does the text resist or reinforce colonial ideas and values?·      What does the text tell us about post-colonial identities? Anything about the struggle to situate oneself within cultures?  Any issues regarding hybrid identities? How are these identities like and and how are they treated?·      Who, in the text, is described as “the other”/ “different”/ “stranger”? How is the “other” represented?·      What does the text tell us about the resistance to colonialism?    Q3: Reflection on Reading of choice:Literature and non-fiction:•   Chinua Achebe – Things Fall Apart, 1958•   Ngugi wa Thiong’o – The River Between, 1965•   Patrick Chamoiseau – Texaco, 1997List https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/722/10/ Introduction to Postcolonial Theoryhttps://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/722/10/  1-   Based on the link ‘Intro to postcolonial theory’ why does the author object to the terms ‘first world’, ‘third world’, etc? 2- Read an excerpt from any of the texts under link 4 (pick your choice of any of these resources in Pfau library or online). Read an excerpt of at least 10 pages.  As you read as in no. 2 above, ask yourself the questions I listed under the lesson overview as well as the questions in the ‘intro’ link/ Explore a few of these questions in relation to the reading and write down your reflection/ analysis.

Assignment 2: Marketing PlanAnswers 3Bids 2Other questions 10

Instructors, training on how to grade is within the Instructor Center. Assignment 2: Marketing Plan Due Week 6 and worth 100 points This assignment consists of two (2) sections: a marketing plan and sales strategy, and a marketing budget. Note: You must submit both sections as separate files for the completion of this assignment. For the first six (6) months your company is in business—to give you time to perfect your product and to learn from actual customers—you will start marketing and selling in your own community, a radius of twenty-five (25) miles from where you live. For most non-alcoholic beverages, marketing (as opposed to the actual product itself) is key to success. Cola drinks, for example, are fairly undifferentiated, as are many energy drinks, juices, bottled water, and the like. Companies producing these types of beverages differentiate themselves and attract market share through marketing and brand awareness—both of which are critical to success. Section 1: Marketing Plan & Sales Strategy (MS Word or equivalent) Write the three to five (3-5) page Marketing Plan & Sales Strategy section of your business plan, in which you: Define your company’s target market.Analyze the types of consumers who will be drinking your beverage in demographic terms (i.e., age, education level, income, gender, ethnic group, etc.). Support your analysis with actual data on the size of the demographic groups in your local community (nearby zip codes).Outline the demographic information for your company specified on the worksheet in the course text (p. 107 | Demographic Description). Click here for help accessing a specific page number in your eBook.Hints: At American FactFinder (http://census.gov), you will find demographic information on potential consumers in your area. If you are selling through other businesses (such as grocery stores), indicate the number of those businesses in your local area. You will find information about such businesses in your local area at County Business Patterns (http://www.census.gov/econ/cbp/). Check Chapter 2 of Successful Business Plan for more research sources.Assess your company’s market competition.Use the factors listed in the course text graphic (p. 123 | Assess the Competition) to assess your company’s market competition.Defend your strategy to successfully compete against market leaders in your segment.Hints: For example, in the soft drink market, it is intimidating to try to compete against Coke and Pepsi. Newcomers in mature markets typically must pursue niche markets or even create new market categories, as Red Bull did with energy drinks.Defend your plan to differentiate yourself from the competition using the information detailed on the worksheet in the text (p. 131 | Market Share Distribution).Hints: Every business faces competition and the non-alcoholic beverage market is an especially crowded market. Clarify your company’s message using the information provided on the worksheet in the text (p. 160 | The Five F’s).Hints: Before you choose your marketing vehicles, you must determine the message you want to convey through those vehicles.Identify the marketing vehicles you plan to use to build your company’s brand. Justify the key reasons why they will be effective. Provide examples of other non-alcoholic beverage companies that use these tactics effectively.Hints: If you plan to use online marketing tactics, refer to the worksheet in the text (p.171 | Online Marketing Tactics) to aid your response. Remember that even if you’re selling through grocery stores you need to build your brand and social media is a major part of that in regard to beverages. Some of the marketing tactics that beverage companies use include: sampling in grocery stores, building a following on social media, sponsoring events, exhibiting at trade shows attended by retailers, and so on. You will use a combination of these tactics. For example, if you decide to give out samples in grocery stores, promote your sampling on your social media networks and those of the grocery store.Hints: If you are planning to distribute through resellers, describe how you plan to reach them, for example, through industry trade shows or by establishing your own sales force. For information on trade shows, visit the Trade Show News Network (http://www.tsnn.com). You can exhibit or network at these shows. Format your assignment according to these formatting requirements: Cite the resources you have used to complete the exercise. Note: There is no minimum requirement for the number of resources used in the exercise.Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length. Section 2: Marketing Budget (MS Excel worksheets template) Section 2 uses the “Business Plan Financials” MS Excel template (see: Course Required Files in Week 1). Use the “Business Plan Financials Guide” (see: Course Required Files in Week 1) to support your development of the Marketing Budget. Complete the Marketing Budget worksheet for your company.Hints: The goal of the marketing budget is to help you determine how much it will cost you to reach your market and achieve your sales goals.Hints: When filling out the “Marketing Budget” worksheet in the Excel spreadsheet:Begin in the current year and complete a marketing budget for the first year of your business. The information you enter in the marketing budget spreadsheet will flow through to your “Income Statement” in the Business Plan Financials.Leave the number at zero (0) for any marketing vehicles you do not intend to use.Remember that all marketing activities involve costs. If social media represents a significant portion of your marketing, assume you will have cost of advertising and that should be reflected on your budget. Even if a social media site charges nothing to use it, you will need to use company resources to manage the site, pay someone to execute your social media marketing campaigns, and will most likely pay for ads on that site.Do NOT leave the “Marketing Budget” blank, assuming you will not have any marketing costs. The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are: Recommend effective business strategies based on an analysis of domestic and global operating environments, market dynamics, and internal capabilities.Analyze competitive positions including foreign market entry and the resulting impact on business strategy.Use technology and information resources to research issues in strategic management.Write clearly and concisely about strategic management using proper writing mechanics. Click here to view the grading rubric for this assignment.

LESSON Lesson Objectives:  Student will write null and alternative hypotheses.Student will find critical values for testing a mean or proportion against the population mean or proportion using the appropriate test, based on the sample size.Student will find critical values for testing the difference between two means or two proportions using the appropriate test, based on the sample size. What is a hypothesis? In science, you may have learned that the hypothesis is an educated guess.  In statistics, the same definition carries over but has some different applications.  A statistical study is similar to the scientific method.  From science you have learned that the scientific method includes the following steps:  1) Ask a question 2) Do background research 3) Construct a hypothesis 4) Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment 5) Analyze the data and draw a conclusion 6) Communicate the results.  In statistics, there are two hypotheses that need to be formed once you have defined the problem and completed background research.  One is called the ‘null’ hypothesis and the other is called the ‘alternative’ hypothesis.  Once the study is conducted, we can reject or fail to reject either of the hypothesis based on the results of the study. The Null HypothesisThe null hypothesis is composed of the fact that there is no effect of the treatment on the subjects in the study.  For example if we were trying to investigate the relationship between two variables our null hypothesis may state that ‘there is no relationship between the two variables’ or if we are trying to see if a new drug has an effect on weight gain the null hypothesis may state that ‘the drug has no effect on the weight gain of the subjects’.  The null hypothesis is the one that we will fail to reject (accept) unless the data provides convincing evidence that it is false. The Alternative HypothesisThe alternative hypothesis may be referred to as the opposite of the null hypothesis.  For example, if the null hypothesis states that there is no relationship between two variables, then the alternative hypothesis should state that ‘there is a relationship between the two variables that can be measured.  If the null hypothesis states that there is no effect on the subject then the alternative hypothesis should state that ‘there is an effect on the subject’.  We will fail to reject (accept) the alternative hypothesis if and only if the data provides convincing evidence that it is true.  Practice Writing Null and Alternative HypothesesThe hypotheses can be written out in words or we may use mathematical symbols to express the hypothesis.  Here a few examples of how to write the null and alternative hypothesis.  The most common symbol for the null hypothesis is H0 and the most common symbol for the alternative hypothesis is H1.Let’s Practice:   Case I: An agriculturist is doing a study to determine if a fertilizer has any effect on the average height of 100 apple trees.  He knows that the average height of unfertilized apple trees is 10ft.  The average height of the 100 apple trees that were treated with fertilizer is 10.8 feet with a standard deviation of .5 ft.  1)  Do you think that the fertilizer has an effect on the height of the apple trees?H0 = The fertilizer has no effect on the height of the apple trees                         Sample mean = Population meanH1 = The fertilizer does have an effect on the height of the apple trees.             Sample mean  ≠ Population mean2)  Does the fertilizer make the apple trees taller?H0 = The fertilizer does not make the apple trees taller.                                     Sample mean = Population meanH1 = The fertilizer does make the apple trees taller.                                           Sample mean > Population meanRemember that when writing and testing hypotheses it is very important that you consider the question that want to answer with your study because this fact helps to shape the correct hypotheses.Choosing the Appropriate TestChoosing the appropriate test for any statistical research is very important to obtaining the most accurate results.  We discussed in a previous lesson when to use a z-score or z-test and when to use a t-score or a t-test.  Recall that we use a z-test when the sample size is fairly large (greater than 100) and a t-test when the sample size is small (less than 100).  Another question that we need to consider is when to use a two- tailed test or a one- tailed test.  This choice is made based upon the statement of the alternative hypothesis.  We would use a two-tailed test if our alternative hypothesis is the exact opposite of the null hypothesis.  We would use a one-tailed test if our alternative hypothesis suggests a certain direction for the results.  If  H0 = There is no effect on the variable , then H1 = There is an effect on the variable. In this case we would use a two tailed test.If H0 = The mean sample mean is equal to the population mean , then H1 = The sample mean is greater than the population mean.In this case we would use the one-tailed test since we are concerned with only the right side of the probability distribution where the values are that are greater than the mean.Click here for a video explaining when to use a one-tailed test and when to use a two tailed test.Critical Values & Testing a HypothesisTesting a hypothesis includes finding the appropriate z or t score and finding critical values to compare it to the probability of an event and its position on the normal distribution curve given a confidence interval or p-value.  A critical value is the value of the dependent variable at a given point of a function that helps us to decide to reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis.  If the test statistic is this number or more then we will reject the null hypothesis but if the test statistic is less than this number then we will fail to reject or accept the null hypothesis.  Consider these examples:Testing the mean against the population mean  An agriculturist is doing a study to determine if a fertilizer has any effect on the average height of 100 apple trees.  He knows that the average height of unfertilized apple trees is 10ft.  The average height of the 100 apple trees that were treated with fertilizer is 10.1 feet with a standard deviation of 0.5 ft.  Do you think that the fertilizer has an effect on the height of the apple trees?Step 1:  Write the null and alternative hypothesesH0 = The fertilizer has no effect on the height of the apple trees                         Sample mean = Population meanH1 = The fertilizer does have an effect on the height of the apple trees.             Sample mean  ≠ Population meanStep 2:  We will assume that the null hypothesis is true and find the z-score (since we have a large sample).  z = 10 – 10.1/(.5/√100) = -2  Step 3:  Find the critical value by applying the subtracting (since the z-score is negative) the product of the z-score and the standard deviation from the population mean.10 – 2(.5) = 9 so the critical value is 9Since the mean of the sample is greater than this critical value we must reject the null hypothesis.Testing a proportion against the population proportionA company found that in a sample of 100 of its products that 25 were defective after retraining the employees.  If there is an overall 60% chance that the company will produce a defective product, did the training help employees minimize the number of defective products?Step 1:  Write the null and alternative hypothesis.H0 = p = 60% or .6        The training had no effect on the proportion of defective productsH1 = p < 60% or .6        The training helped to decrease the proportion of defective products.Remember that these types of problems are binomial experiments so we have to be sure that we can use the normal approximation by confirming that (n)(p) and (n)(q) are both greater than 5.  So (100)(.6) = 60 and (100)(.4) = 40, we may proceed.Step 2:  Assume that the null hypothesis is true and find the standard deviation ( standard deviation = √(n)(p(q)) so that we can find the z-score.standard deviation = 4.33z = .25 – .6/ 4.33 = -.08Step 3:  Find the critical value by subtracting (since the z-score is negative) the product of the z-score and the standard deviation from the mean..6 – .3464 = .2536 or 25.36 %  since our test statistic is .6 or 60% and it is more than the critical value then we must reject the null hypothesis and conclude that training did decrease the number of defective products.Testing the Difference of Means and Difference of ProportionsThe difference of means or difference of proportions is used to find out whether there is a significance between the controlled group and the uncontrolled group.  We can also use critical values to determine the significance for the difference of means as well as the difference of proportions.Difference of Means:A teacher gave 100 students a study guide in preparation for a major test.  The average score for these students was 88 with standard deviation of 2.  She did not give study guides to another group of 100 students and the average score for these students was 80 with a standard deviation of 3.  Determine whether the study guide had an effect on student scores.Step 1:  Find the difference in the sample mean scores.  88-80 = 8 Step 2:  Write the null and alternative hypotheses.H0 = The study guide has no effect on student test scores or population mean1 = population mean2 or population mean1 – population mean2 = 0 H1 = The study guide has an effect on student test scores or population mean1 ≠ population mean2 or population mean1 – population mean2 ≠ 0Step 3:  Calculate the standard deviation for the difference of the sample means.  To do this we need to find the variance (square the standard deviation for each sample) and divide it by n for each sample then add the two values together and take the square root.√[(22 )/100 + (32 )/100] = √4/100 + 3/100 = √7/100 = √.07 = .26Step 4:  Assume that the null hypothesis is true and find the z-score using the difference of the means.z = 0-8/.26 = -30.76  find the critical value by adding (since the z-score is positive) the product of the z-score and the standard deviation to the test statistic.  0 – 8 = -8 This is the critical value and since the test statistic 0 is must than this value we must reject the null hypothesis and conclude that the study guide has an effect on student test scores.NEXT TEACHER OFFICE CRJ 320 Week 7: Assignment 2: Death InvestigationsAnswers 11Bids 1Other questions 10

Some people get confused with the terminology surrounding death investigations and their classification, such as natural death, accidental, suicide, and homicide. For this reason, criminal investigators must be well-versed in the various death classifications. Use your textbook, the Internet, and / or Strayer Library to research articles on death investigation.Write a three to four (3-4) page paper in which you:Compare and contrast the fundamental differences in natural death, accidental death, suicide, and homicide. Select an article concerning a type of death of your choice and summarize the key factors that the police used to classify the type of death. Suggest one (1) additional factor that the police should collect for the death investigation. Compare the fundamental differences in investigating a death case versus other types of crimes.  Determine the goal and the main procedure of a preliminary death investigation. Include one (1) example of a successful preliminary death investigation to support your response.Analyze the main ways in which various environmental factors may influence the medical examination and autopsy in death investigations. Use at least two (2) quality academic resources in this assignment. Case Study: Bianca (responds guided)Answers 1Bids 1Other questions 10

Guided Response: Respond to TWO of your classmate’s postings. Evaluate their strategies for integrating the four language and literacy domains within the lesson on the parts of a plant and make any additional recommendations. Please respond to any questions posted by your instructor.  1.Loraine SchwentkerI feel that testing a newcomer student for a specific disability is not an appropriate next step.  Bianca has been through a tragic moment in her young life and adjusting to not only a new family, but a new culture and language will take time. As an educator, I would give it more time for Bianca to adapt to her new life and language before making any decisions on testing her for any disabilities.I would tell Mrs. Perkins to assess the knowledge Bianca might already have about parts of a plant by implementing the following. Mrs. Perkins can make a drawing of a plant with arrows pointing the specific parts she is going to test Bianca on in the form of “Quick Write and Quick Draw.” Teacher may ask the child on what the names of the parts are and if the child answers in their native language the teacher can use a resource such as the internet to find the meaning of the word and see if the child is saying the correct name to the correct part. In addition, Mrs. Perkins can repeat the names of the parts of the plants in English while pointing so Bianca can associate and learn the English words for them.Four strategies that Mrs. Perkins could intergrade within the plant lesson to develop skills in all four language and literacy domains are as follows. First, for listening the teacher can play a plant book on CD and have the class listen to it as she may ask the children to recall information. Next for speaking and hearing, children would sound out the letter of each word of the parts of the plant and say the word out loud. Lastly, the children can work on plant labeling worksheets and write the words accordingly.Mrs. Perkins can implement applications on a tablet that must do with plant life and have Bianca wear headphones that she can concentrate on the language while playing along. Bianca may feel emotional and may feel frustrated when attempting to answer a question and is having difficult due to the language barrier.  It is always good to give positive reinforcement and praise when child is trying their best. Honigsfeld, A & Cohan, A. (2015). Serving English language learners. San Diego, CA: Bridgepoint Education.     2.Jasmine Arias I feel that testing isn’t the appropriate next step to determine a specific learning disability. I feel that further additional intervention should take place before making a plan for testing for a learning disability. As explained further in the text “In response, teachers need to make every effort to help these students transition into U.S. school settings. One instructional model that has proved informative is DeCapua and Marshall’s (2011) Mutually Adaptive Learning Paradigm (MALP), which considers student readiness for learning, addresses appropriate learning processes, and introduces ways to make academic tasks accessible (Honigsfeld & Cohan.2015). If Mrs. Perkins is to preform a KWL Chart (What I know, what I want to learn, and what I have learned) it will help her determine what Bianca may know about the different parts of plants and what she can assist with. The importance of why we should assess the student of what the student may already know is because it will it will be of a benefit to help the teacher see where the student may stand based in if they are at their grade-level or not, it is important to see where a student may stand academically. Four strategies I would offer Mrs. Perkins to integrate to her lesson plan about plants would be as follows: For listening and speaking I would have her do the read aloud and have her identify select pieces of information, also have her share her selections possibly with a pair in class which will allow them to speak to one another. For reading I would have her support the students’ reading comprehension. Doing so by constructing specific and clear questions to ask before, during, and after reading. (Honigsfeld & Cohan.2015). In the writing portion I would have Mrs. Perkins adapt the writing process to the needs of Bianca by spending more time on more manageable subtasks, step-by-step directions, as well as samples and visual aids. Mrs. Perkins can integrate technology within her lesson plan to support Bianca in many different forms. It can be by using translation devices, computers, application software to support her skills throughout the lesson. Helping her build more knowledge and motivation in her learning. What I believe can be affecting Bianca’s emotionally may be the transition of coming to new country because of the result of being orphaned. It may not be a night to day process for both her new family and educators to help her cope with her new lifestyle, so she may result being timid, lack of social skills and can possibly lead her to not progress. Motivation will then come into play coming from Mrs. Perkins to uplift Bianca and help her be motivated that will then lead to her academic success.  Resources Honigsfeld, A & Cohan, A.
